Why sharks with Felipe Lamarca?

Felipe Lamarca has a degree in biology from Universidade Santa Úrsula, a master’s degree in oceanography from Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro and a PhD in animal biology from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul.

He has been studying sharks since 2014 and early on identified the need to speak well of these animals to society. With this in mind, in 2015 he began to work with scientific divulgation on social networks by creating the page “Tubarões e suas curiosidades”.

With his dedication and deep research work on shark biology, we are proud to have Felipe Lamarca as one of our Sharks Educational Institute Correspondent in Brazil, since 2024.
